Clemson's Memorial Stadium opened on September 19, 1942.  This aerial photograph was probably taken in the winter of 1943.  You can clearly see where the players "ran down the hill" as they went onto the field from their dressing room in the Clemson (later named Fike) Field House. In the background you can see Tillman Hall and the barracks, but you do not see the Clemson House which opened in 1950.
